Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Flourish with Laurin (“we”, “us”, “our”). They apply whenever you visit our website, sign up for our mailing list, book a consultation, or take part in any coaching we provide.
By using the site or booking with us, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
Some of what we do is also covered by other documents — our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, and our Cookie Policy explains what we store on your device. Read together, they describe the whole relationship.
Who May Use Our Services
You must be at least 18 years old to book coaching or create an account with us. Our services are designed for adults and are not intended for children.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else — a partner, for example — you are responsible for making sure they have agreed to these Terms as well. Couples coaching assumes both people are taking part willingly.
You agree that the information you give us when booking is accurate and that you will keep it up to date, so we can reach you about your sessions.
What We Provide
We provide relationship and personal-growth coaching: one-time consultations, ongoing monthly coaching, and access to written and recorded material. What is included in each option is described on the page where you book it, and that description is what you are buying.
Coaching is a conversation and a set of tools. We will be direct with you, give you honest feedback, and hold you to what you say you want. What you do with it between sessions is yours.
We may change, improve, or retire parts of the site and the material on it. If a change materially affects something you have already paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair resolution.
Coaching Is Not Therapy or Medical Care
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, medical care, or legal or financial advice, and we are not acting as your therapist, physician, lawyer, or financial adviser. Nothing said in a session or published on this site is a diagnosis or a treatment plan.
If you are dealing with a mental-health condition, are in crisis, or are at risk of harming yourself or anyone else, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services. Coaching is not a substitute for that care and should not delay it.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, including any decision about your health, your relationships, your finances, or your safety. If you are under professional care, we recommend you talk to that professional before making significant changes.
Bookings and Payment
Prices are shown on the site in the currency displayed at checkout and include any taxes we are required to collect. A booking is confirmed once payment has been taken and you have received a confirmation from us.
Payments are handled by our payment provider, not by us — we never see or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to that provider’s own terms.
Ongoing monthly coaching renews automatically each month until you cancel, and we take payment on the same date each cycle. You can cancel future renewals at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
If a payment fails, we may pause access until it is resolved. We will contact you before doing anything that affects sessions you have already booked.
Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds
If you need to move a session, tell us at least 48 hours beforehand and we will reschedule it at no cost. Inside that window, or if you do not attend, the session is treated as delivered — the time was held for you and cannot be given to anyone else.
If we have to cancel or move a session, we will offer you the earliest alternative that works for you, or a full refund of that session if you prefer.
Because coaching is delivered personally and reserved time cannot be recovered, sessions that have already taken place are not refundable. If something has gone wrong, tell us — we would rather hear it and put it right than have you sit with it.
Nothing here removes any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
Your Responsibilities
Come to sessions on time and in a setting where you can speak openly. Coaching depends on honesty; what you leave out is usually the part that matters.
Treat everyone involved with respect, including your partner if you are in couples coaching. We may end a session immediately if anyone is abusive, threatening, or under the influence in a way that makes the work impossible.
What is discussed in a session is private. If your coaching includes a shared space with other clients, do not repeat what other people share there.
Acceptable Use
Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, disrupt it, scrape it at scale, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
Do not upload or submit anything unlawful, abusive, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection to a person or organisation.
We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe this section has been breached.
Intellectual Property
The site and everything we publish on it — text, images, video, recordings, worksheets, course material, the brand and its logo — belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
When you buy coaching or material from us, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for yourself. You may not copy, resell, publish, or share it, or use it to build or deliver a competing service.
You are welcome to quote a short passage from our public writing with credit and a link back. Anything more needs our written permission.
Anything you send us — a question, a testimonial, a comment — stays yours. By sending it you allow us to use it to provide and improve our services, and to publish a testimonial with the name or initials you gave us, unless you ask us not to.
Third-Party Services and Community Spaces
Parts of what we offer run on services we do not control — payments, scheduling, email delivery, and the community platform where our group sits. Using them means accepting their terms and privacy policies as well as ours.
Our site links to other websites and social profiles. We include them because we think they are useful, but we are not responsible for their content, their practices, or anything you do there.
If a third-party service goes down or changes, we will do what we reasonably can to keep your coaching running, but we cannot be held responsible for their outages.
No Guarantees of Results
We do not promise a specific outcome. Coaching works through what you decide to change, and no one can guarantee what another person — a partner, an employer, a family member — will do in response.
Stories, testimonials, and examples on this site describe what particular people experienced. They are not a prediction of your results and are not offered as typical.
What we do commit to is showing up prepared, telling you the truth as we see it, and giving you the clearest path forward we can.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost income, lost opportunity, or the outcome of a relationship or a decision you made after coaching.
Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service the claim relates to, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the site at any time, and you can cancel ongoing coaching as described above.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if payment fails and stays unresolved, or if continuing would put anyone at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
If we end your access without cause, we will refund the portion of anything you have paid for and not yet received.
The sections on intellectual property, liability, and governing law continue to apply after our relationship ends.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our services, our tools, or the law change. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above.
If a change is significant and affects coaching you have already booked, we will let you know directly rather than relying on this page. Continuing to use the site or your coaching after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Flourish with Laurin operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us. Most disagreements are resolved faster and better by a conversation than by a filing.
Contact Us
